ICT ENABLED LESSON TEMPLATE

ICT ENABLED LESSON TEMPLATE -BUOYANT FORCE

NAME: Reshma Varghese                                STD: VIII                      SUB:Physics
UNIT:Pressure                                                                SUBUNIT: Buoyant Principal

Objective : To involve students in an activity oriented ICT integrated learning .
Content Summery : The upward force experienced by a body when the object partially or fully immersed in a liquid is buoyant force
ICT Resource with description resource used in an animation video of buoyant force and buoyancy principle through a experiment

PROCEDURE
RESPONSE
Start class with a silent prayer
teacher en quire the life experience of students water "what will you feel when you immersed in a lake  ?"

"Have you collect water through a bucket ?"
"when you feel more difficult? inside the water or outside?"
write down your observation and its reason

reading their observation loudly.
conducting a experiment using water, stone, beaker, kerosene, spring balance etc..
weighing a stone in air using spring balance.
weighing the stone fully immersed in the water.
repeating the experiment using kerosene instead of water.
compare the results obtained in your note book.
"can you say why the difference?"
teacher finally explains the reason..
explaining buoyant force and buoyancy principle.

Students Responding

"Yes" students replied.
"outside"

students writing their observation and analysis.

students note down the results.

students comparing and noting down .
 students responding.

students eagerly listening.

formative evaluation: what is buoyancy principle?
Compare the difference in buoyancy force in the case of kerosene and coconut oil?
follow up activities:
1}list out the situation in daily life where buoyancy force is a boon?
2} A  object weigh 10N in air and 7N in water.find out the buoyant force experienced in the body?
